What Does Love Look Like?

By Sheila Jackson

Sheila.Jackson@simsmm.com

My Son, Max told me one day when he was very small, that love is "a box with a big bow on it that a Daddy gives to a Mommy."

As he got older he told me that "love is like eyes that are blue as the ocean and hair the color of sand."

But I thought about his answer to me just the other day when I asked him what does love look like?

He said, "Mommy love doesnt have a color, it just is."

Hes right…….love just is.

Love can look like a rainbow in the sky after the rain.

It can also look like hail hitting up against a window pane.

Love can look like a loss but replaced by a birth.

It can look like all the flowers that bloom upon the earth.

Love can look like a Mother who could do nothing but stand, as the body of her son was ravaged by mans hands.

Love can come in the form of a wooden cross.

It can come in the form of strength walking through a town of sand and moss.

It can come in the form of a spear or the pulling out of hairs from a beard.

Love can look like 40 stripes that so vividly appeared.

Love can look like out stretched hands nailed in the center of a vein.

Love can look like feet which were nailed the same.

Love can look like thorns forced upon a head.

Love can look like quietness without a word being said.

Love can look like nakedness with blood running down ones legs.

Love can look like a bowed down head.

It can look like water and blood that gushed from a side it can look like death for the one who actually died.

Love can look like a man that was born of a virgin, died a servant and rose from the dead.

Love can look like the King of Kings that will have justice in the evil days ahead.

It is true that love can "LOOK" like anything you want it to be, but REAL LOVE CAN ONLY BE SEEN SPIRITUALLY.
